Wednesday, May 16 2018, 7 pm

The AGO and the Toronto Biennial of Art are pleased to present Sally Tallant in conversation with Kitty Scott on exhibition making, biennials in general and the 2018 Liverpool Biennial, Beautiful world, where are you? in particular.

Kitty Scott is the Carol and Morton Rapp Curator, Modern and Contemporary Art at the Art Gallery of Ontario and the co-curator of the 2018 Liverpool Biennial. Previously she was Director of Visual Arts at The Banff Centre, Canada; Chief Curator at the Serpentine Gallery, and Curator of Contemporary Art at the National Gallery of Canada. Scott has written extensively on contemporary art for catalogues, books and journals and regularly lectures at arts schools and curatorial programmes throughout North America.

Sally Tallant is the Director of Liverpool Biennial. From 2001-11 she was Head of Programmes at the Serpentine Gallery, London, where she was responsible for the development and delivery of an integrated programme of exhibitions, architecture, education and public programmes. She is Vice President of the International Biennial Association and a member of the London Regional Council for Arts Council England.

The Toronto Biennial of Art is set to launch in September 2019. A cultural catalyst, the inaugural event will act as a platform for the exchange of critical ideas through contemporary art from across Canada and around the world. The Biennial offers an exciting opportunity to bring people together around dynamic, inclusive, and multidisciplinary programming.
