Learn to draw, and enjoy a drink doing it! Improve your drawing skills in the galleries of the AGO. Explore a variety of drawing techniques using original paintings, sculptures and installations in the AGO collections as starting points. Artist-instructors will demonstrate techniques and concepts and lead the group through exercises geared toward deepening your understanding of works of art and the evolution of imagery.
Both new and repeat students are welcome. Each class starts over drinks and conversation.
Bring your own supplies: An 11" x 14" coil-bound sketchbook, a set of soft pencils (B through 9B, or one each of 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B), a kneadable eraser and a white vinyl eraser, a paper stomp, a set of 24 watercolour pencils, a self-contained pencil sharpener.
Students are asked to print out a copy of their receipt and gather in the Community Gallery located in the WFLC for start of class. Receipt must be presented at the start of each class. Please check any oversized bags and outerwear. Pricing includes a drink ticket per class.
Participants must be 19 or older. Space is limited.
